36 Project Manager WHAT OUR COUNCIL PARTNERS SAY By joining the AIPM, City of Ryde has become part of a growing national and international community of professionals and organisations whose aim is to invest in the further development of their project managers. Through interaction with other corporate member organisations, City of Ryde has been able to adopt an ongoing business process improvement approach through benchmarking itself against other organisations that are embedding 'best practice methodologies' in their project management functions both at an organisational and individual level. This has led to greater efficiency, performance, quality assurance, and project completion rates. Peter Nguyen Service Unit Manager, Project Development City of Ryde Membership of the AIPM confirms Sutherland Shire Council's commitment to increasing the organisation's project management focus and has utilised this association to benchmark and improve organisational processes. This vision came to fruition in 2013 when the team won two categories at the annual AIPM Victorian Project Management Achievement Awards. This endorsement of Campaspe's project management approach by professional peers reflects Campaspe's commitment to project management best practice, underpinned by our AIPM membership.
