AIPM had lobbied against the proposed cap, along with 50 other associations, since for mer Treasurer Wayne Swan released the policy in April. e cap could have a ected two million workers, cost $1.6b in ta x revenue and cut national productivity by up to $6b, while delivering only $520m in revenue.
