As a Group Executive, Portfolio and Program Director, I found Greg Usher's article on strategy and program/project alignment particularly valuable ('Bring PM to the centre', pp 10-13). Having just completed an update of our three-year group strategy, I found the article challenging and thought provoking. On a general project management level, based on experience, I found Claire Chaffey's article on complex projects ('Outside the square', pp 16-20) and Graham Scott's article on the human side of projects ('Being human', pp 34-37) to be consistent with my 21 years' experience. Both articles served as helpful reminders of the importance of understanding project context, as well as human resources and stakeholder management. My team at NRMA is made up of happy AIPM members who actively leverage your ser vices to enhance our Project Alliance Group. Paul Griffiths I FOUND IT CONSISTENT WITH MY 21 YEARS' EXPERIENCE. BOTH ARTICLES SERVED AS HELPFUL REMINDERS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF UNDERSTANDING PROJECT CONTEXT Stay in touch Send your feedback about the magazine, thoughts on current project management affairs and suggestions for articles to the Editor, Hallie Donkin.
