This program ‘takes the cover’ oﬀ project contractng and procurement through highly interactve workshop actvites. The program will demystfy the process of procurement and looks at how all players in the supply chain work to a common outcome of project success. We will look at common mistakes and misconceptons, and examine how an inadvertent statement or acton can quite substantally change the responsibilites and enttlements under an agreement. A large part of the program will be research based, pointng partcipants to excellent sources of advice and informaton related to contractng and procurement. At the conclusion of the program, partcipants will have a good appreciaton for the wealth of informaton available related to contract management, and will be much beter positoned to form, manage and close successful agreements. Procurement Details Learning Outcomes The key learning outcomes for this program will be: • Formulate a comprehensive procurement plan for a substantal project, integratng procurement with other project functons; • Form, award and/or accept contracts eﬃciently and with minimum risk to all partes; • Overcome typical issues of ‘the batle of forms’, precedence of terms, and leters of instructon; • Engage in supplier performance management successfully and maturely; • Establish and operate contract administraton systems; • Understand key issues in internatonal procurement and commerce arrangements; • Manage commercial exposure through standard contract risk mitgaton methods; • Beter manage the transiton of deliverables into the user domain; • Eﬀectvely close out contracts and procurement arrangements; and • Negotate project issues from a commercial perspectve.
