Project Manager : Project Manager Feb Mar 2013
16 Project Manager MEMBERSHIP NEW AIPM MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE DEAR MEMBERS, We have now implemented the new membership structures for Corporate and Individual Members. They took effect on 1 February 2013 and I am pleased to advise that it has been a successful and smooth transition. This is a great milestone for the AIPM. Not only have we introduced a new membership structure, we have also moved to a new back-office system to streamline our member services and support the future implementation of membership benefits. All members and corporate members would have received a communication from AIPM, explaining the changes and additional benefits. The new membership structure will support members' and corporate members' capability development. It also articulates a clear pathway to our highly regarded and internationally recognised RegPM certification program. One key highlight of the new structure is our Affiliate membership, which has been reduced from $310 to $150 to support young and emerging project managers who are keen to enter the profession. The reduced rate will also encourage Affiliates to continue developing their skills and knowledge, become Associates or Members of AIPM, and pursue their RegPM Certification. Student membership at $50 provides students with access to research and information to assist with their studies and build their knowledge of project management. Corporate members will find that our Silver, Gold and Platinum packages are of great benefit to organisations and employees as they develop their careers in project management. The new structures are part of the continual improvement of our services and support of our members and the RegPM Certification. A very minor increase in Member and Associate fees (ranging between $5 and $13) has been implemented to make the improvements possible. Now that the new structure is effective, please contact AIPM's National Office for more information about the different membership levels available, or to upgrade your membership. Trevor Alex CPPD, FAIPM National Director, AIPM and Chair, Membership Council FIND YOUR LEVEL Not sure which member- ship level is right for you?
