5 www.aipm.com.au Project Manager FIRST WORD I have outlined in recent messages that our National Support Office (NSO) has been undergoing a complete review and restructure. As a result we have made some key changes. I am delighted to welcome to the team Sheryle Moon as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO role will replace the General Manager ’s role and provide a much stronger focus on our organisational strategic development and marketing. Sher yle brings over 25 years ’ experience in professional ser vice environments to AIPM, with senior roles such as managing partner at Andersen Contracting, Vice President for CSC, Director Manpower Ser vices, and Australia/ New Zealand President of HR solutions provider Ross Human Directions. She has also been CEO of the Australian Information Industry Association and Australasian A ssociation of Convenience Stores. In the project management arena, Sheryle has completed project management studies as part of her Masters in Management at the Australian National University. She has also committed to completing her RegPM certification. A results oriented, high-energy person, Sheryle is rated as an inspirational people manager in 360-degree feedback conducted with staff. Email story ideas to the editor leanne@ mahlabmedia.com.au Editorial deadline 24 June 2011 Ad booking deadline 4 July 2011 WE HAVE AN OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP TEAM GOING FORWARD THAT WILL HELP THE AIPM SHIFT TO A NEW LEVEL OF OPERATION AND SERVICE DELIVERY Complementing this position will be a new Operations Manager role, ably taken up by Chris Mansfield, previously AIPM’s Certifications Manager. Chris will oversee our Knowledge Management, events, membership, RegPM administration, and office support. Working in the project management profession in Australasia and Europe, Chris has experience in both the public and private sectors as well as various industries including information technology, finance, telecommunications and government. Chris has been working at AIPM for the past two years as the Certification & Assessment Manager of AIPM’s RegPM program. This has also included participating in AIPM’s Professional Development Council, Standards Committee, Endorsements Committee, Assessor Panel and review committees. He has also been an active member of AIPM for over 12 years. I sincerely thank Ian Baxter, our outgoing General Manager. Ian contributed a lot of hard work and dedication to AIPM over the past three years, particularly stabilising our financial position and strengthening our corporate governance. Ian also did a great job in supporting our NSO restructuring. With the strength of experience and capability of both Sheryle and Chris, we have an outstanding leadership team going for ward that will help the AIPM shift to a new level of operation and ser vice delivery.
